Overview

The Manaslu Circuit Trek with the Tsum Valley extension is a remarkable and less-traveled adventure in the Nepalese Himalayas. Combining the challenging Manaslu Circuit with the cultural richness of Tsum Valley, this trek offers a diverse experience, from high-altitude passes to ancient monasteries.

Trip Highlights

Larkya La Pass (5,106m): One of the most dramatic high passes in the Himalayas, offering stunning views of Manaslu (8,163 meters) and other surrounding peaks.

Buddhist Culture: The trail is adorned with Mani walls, chortens, and monasteries, reflecting the Tibetan Buddhist culture.

Spectacular Scenery: Includes views of Mount Manaslu (8,163m), the eighth-highest mountain in the world.

Remote Villages: Experience traditional Gurung and Tibetan-influenced cultures in villages like Samagaon and Samdo.

Tsum Valley

Cultural Immersion: Explore the sacred Tsum Valley, also known as the "Hidden Valley." It's a region with deep Buddhist traditions and ancient monasteries like Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa.

Isolation: Tsum Valley was only opened to trekkers in 2008, so it remains one of the most unspoiled and peaceful regions in Nepal.

Milarepa's Cave: Visit the cave where the famous Buddhist saint Milarepa is said to have meditated.

Trek Details

Duration: 20-24 days, depending on the itinerary and acclimatization.

This trek is ideal for experienced trekkers looking for a mix of natural beauty, cultural depth, and physical challenge. The combination of the Manaslu Circuit with Tsum Valley offers a journey through a relatively untouched part of Nepal, making it a unique and enriching adventure.
