Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by Summit Force’s representative and transferred to your hotel. Today is simply an arrival day and there will be no organized activities. So, you will have some free time to explore around the local attractions. Stay overnight in a hotel
Day 2

Today we will organize guided sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley, where you will visit UNESCO-listed World Heritage sites including the sacred Hindu temple, Buddhist shrines, and local bazaars in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. In the meantime, we will prepare all necessary permits for the climb and trek, we want to make sure you are well-equipped with the necessary trekking/ climbing gear and clothing. Also, we want to make sure whether your travel insurance covers up to above 6000 meters, as you will be scaling the Ama Dablam. Stay overnight in a hotel
Day 3

Depart from Kathmandu early in the morning and drive towards Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna region. The drive offers scenic views of lush hills, rivers, and terraced fields. Besisahar is the starting point of your trek.

Distance: Approximately 175 km
Time: 5-6 hours
Day 4

Continue your journey by driving from Besisahar to Koto, passing through the rugged terrain of the Manang district. The road is rough and narrow, with spectacular views of waterfalls, rivers, and traditional villages along the way.

Time: 7-8 hours
Day 5

Start your trek by crossing the river near Koto and following a trail that winds through dense pine forests. The path gradually ascends, and after several hours of trekking, you reach the remote village of Meta, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.Distance: Approximately 16 km
Time: 6-7 hours
Day 6

Today’s trek takes you further into the remote Nar Phu Valley. The trail involves a series of ups and downs, crossing several suspension bridges and passing through unique Tibetan-influenced villages. Arrive at Phu Gaon, a traditional village perched high on a hillside.

Distance: Approximately 19 km
Time: 7-8 hours
Day 7

Spend the day acclimatizing in Phu Gaon, exploring the village, and taking short hikes to higher altitudes. Visit the local monastery and interact with the friendly villagers to learn about their culture and lifestyle.

Time: 3-4 hours (optional hikes)
Day 8

Leave Phu Gaon behind as you trek towards Himlung Base Camp. The trail gradually ascends through barren landscapes and moraine ridges. Upon reaching the base camp, set up camp and rest in preparation for the climb.

Distance: Approximately 14 km
Time: 6-7 hours
Day 9-23

These days are reserved for acclimatization, training, and climbing the summit of Himlung Peak. Depending on weather conditions, you will establish higher camps, acclimatize at each level, and attempt the summit. The ascent involves steep ice and snow slopes, requiring the use of technical climbing gear. The summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan giants.
Day 24

After successfully summiting Himlung Peak, retrace your steps back to Phu Gaon. The descent is much quicker, allowing you to enjoy the changing landscape as you descend to lower altitudes.

Time: 5-6 hours
Day 25

Continue your return trek, descending further to Meta. Enjoy the sense of accomplishment as you make your way through the familiar trail, reflecting on your successful expedition.

Distance: Approximately 19 km
Time: 6-7 hours
Day 26

The trail descends steeply through forests and across rivers as you make your way back to Koto. The lush greenery and rushing rivers offer a stark contrast to the barren alpine landscapes you experienced during the climb.

Distance: Approximately 16 km
Time: 5-6 hours
Day 27

Say goodbye to the trekking trail as you drive back from Koto to Besisahar. Enjoy the scenic drive, reflecting on the incredible journey you've just completed.

Distance: Approximately 65 km
Time: 7-8 hours
Day 28

Complete the journey with a drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to relax, shop for souvenirs, or explore more of the city.

Day 29

Today you will have the entire day to relax In Kathmandu, You may have a fantastic day in Kathmandu following your successful ascent of Mt. Ama Dablam. Trekking Experts will plan a goodbye dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant in the evening.
Day 30

Your visit to Nepal is coming to an end today. Upon the departure of your flight, you will be collected from the hotel and taken to the Tribhuvan International Airport. Bid a kind farewell to our Himalayan country as you board your aircraft, carrying with you the memories of snow-capped peaks, breathtaking landscapes, and the kind smiles of everyone you have met along the route. You will always have a particular place in your heart for Nepal, and you should always keep the allure and beauty of this Himalayan nation with you until we cross paths again.
