Pasang Sherpa was born and raised in Makalu Seduwa, a small village in the Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal. He grew up in the shadows of the majestic Himalayas, which inspired him to become a climber. He started his career as a porter at the age of 18 and slowly worked his way up to become a climbing guide.
Over the years, Pasang has climbed Mount Everest 7 times, making him one of the most experienced Everest climbers from Nepal. He has also summited K2, the second highest peak in the world, twice. His other notable achievements include 6 summits of Manaslu, 3 summits of Annapurna, 2 summits of Dhaulagiri, and 2 summits of Ama Dablam.
